hey ppl, for ur info, euro 2008 had kicked off on 12 midnight 8/6/08

today holland will be playing against the 1st runner up of world cup 2006 France. should hope holland will win, with stars like van nisterooy sneijer robben van persie van der sar van der varrt with coach and former stars van der basten, and barca striker henry had recovered froma thigh injury and will most probably be partnering nicholas Anelka of chelsea.
next Italy after humiliated by holland last week will be playing against romania today. romania is seen as the bottom team in thi group, but they shocked the fans by holding on to a 0-0 score with france last game. if they put up a good game like what they did with france, tere's no doubt that they might win italy. Italy has been going a losing streak with a lost to holland france in the euro qualifying rounds. in addition, they have no LIPPI now. haa, so i doubt the world champion will go far in the tournament.
on the other hand, spain portugal and holland are doing well especially spain. star striker david villa scored the first hat trick in this tournament. when people are talking abt henry, fernando torres c. ronaldo, who actually thought that david villa will be the first to score a hat trick, for ur info, spain was quite worried as david villa suffered an injury days before the injury.
so stay tune i will update you guys on the results and analyse.
oh i forgot something, for the betting odds, germany has thelowest which means fans are anticipating that they will hold the championship title, but the shocking lost to Croatia might change the odds, so stay tune to singpore pools, currently their odds is 3.40 if i'm not wrong, however teens under 18 please refrain from betting.

back to the topic of natural disaster..
many people said this, yuu must be fortunate to be in Singapore because we are free from natural disasters, many times it will be our neighbour who suffered...
but we are not fully protected.
remember on 31st oct 2000, 2 days after my birthday, when i was still in a joyous mood after my streaming exam a tradegy happened, crashing of SQ 006. tragic crash of SQ flight 006 at Taipei airport was caused by the captain’s attempting to takeoff on a runway that was closed, dark and under construction.
then The Nicoll Highway collapse was a construction accident that occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. Singapore Time (UTC+8:00) on 20 April 2004 in Singapore when a tunnel being constructed for use by MRT trains collapsed. The tunnel was part of the construction of the underground Circle MRT Line, near the Nicoll Highway MRT Station. The supporting structure for the deep excavation work failed, resulting in a 30-metre (100 foot) deep cave-in that spread across six lanes of Nicoll Highway. The collapse killed four people and injured three.
then It was in the news where 5 of our boys drowned when their dragon boat capsized.
There were representing Singapore in the dragon boat race held in Cambodia's Tongle Sap on 26th NOV 2007.
The bodies of Mr Chee Wei Cheng, 20, Mr Jeremy Goh Tze Xiong, 24, Mr Stephen Loh Soon Ann, 31, Mr Poh Boon San, 27, and Mr Reuben Kee En Rui, 23 were recovered on Sunday and brought home in a military aircraft on Monday night.
therefore we cannot say we are fully protected from disasters, nobody can anticipate anything. therefore all the more we cannot tell the children that.
